"Depths of Vanalf" is the first book in the "Grimnir Chronicles" series, an epic fantasy novel inspired by Scandinavian folklore, The Witcher, and Dungeons & Dragons. The story follows Hallik, a young man training to become a Grimnir, a magic-wielder who protects his realm from monsters. When monsters breach the protective shield surrounding their island, Hallik and his companions must venture into the treacherous Vanalf cave system to hone their skills and restore the shield.
