Love Under Snowfall by K. L. Parsons

Love Under Snowfall by K. L. Parsons

Katherine Leigh Parsons' book,
Love Under Snowfall, is the second installment in her Stranded in Leavenworth series. It is a romantic comedy featuring the popular tropes of enemies-to-lovers and best friend's little sister.
The story centers around Frankie Miller, who decides to go back to grad school after a ten-year break. There, she clashes with her law professor, Benjamin Clark, a former divorce attorney who is cynical about happy endings.
The conflict intensifies when Frankie learns that Benjamin is the best man in her brother's upcoming December wedding, where she is the maid of honor. Forced to interact during the wedding events in Leavenworth, a Bavarian-themed town, Frankie and Benjamin reluctantly agree to a truce. However, a snowshoeing excursion goes wrong, leaving them stranded together in a blizzard and forced to confront their growing attraction.
The book explores the dynamic between two people who initially dislike each other but are forced into proximity, leading to shared vulnerabilities, deepening attraction, and the realization that their animosity might be masking something more. Parsons uses the "forced proximity" trope to highlight the tension and development of Frankie and Benjamin's relationship, showcasing them as complex characters who, despite their initial differences, find a connection.
While it can be read as a standalone, the book does feature characters from the previous installment in the series, adding depth and context for those who have read the first book.
